Speech Contest

No Limits runs speech content every year. Any High School or Junior High School student who resides in Winnipeg Manitoba and has Ethiopian or Eritrean background is eligible.

The aim of the speech contest is to equip young students with the skills of thinking clearly, speaking persuasively and listening to the opinions of others critically and constructively. Speech contest not only increase their speaking skills, but also improves their critical thinking as they pick a topic and start preparing on it. Students will learn how to be confident while speaking their ideas and stating their opinions in front of other people.

Moreover, by speaking in public, students can synchronize with the mindsets of other people, which will help them build meaningful connections. Speech also builds critical thinking and social mobility by broadening students’ horizons and opportunities.
